Album/EP - a new model
This is the process.
Enter Blue Rock with songs. We provide the team: a dedicated engineer with an ear for detail, a producer who sees the big picture, a video team to document the journey, and skilled session musicians to execute the project of your dreams. With lodging, kitchens, and amenities combined, everything is set for creating music and indelible experiences. Here are some examples:
Donavon Frankenreiter
Renowned surfer/artist Donavon Frankenreiter and his band came to Blue Rock with a plan to maximize every minute. Every day for 10 days they tracked, mixed, and captured video for one song. The whole process was live-streamed each day, all day, to fans across the world. With endorsements from GoPro, Martin Guitars, and Sanuk shoes, lots of great prizes were given away to fans tuning in. The band worked hard, played hard, and left Blue Rock with a finished album, THE HEART, plus photos and video content for promo. They made a lot of friends, too, all in great anticipation of the new release.
Chris Smither
Chris and his seasoned band led by producer, David 'Goody' Goodrich, spent 5 busy days tracking the new record, CALL ME LUCKY, at Blue Rock. What started as one album actually became a double. Staying onsite - playing, inventing, eating, telling stories - the creative experience was an unbroken conversation. And they were so productive they were able to record two versions of every song, making for a second disk on the final album. We brought our video team in for a day to capture the energy for a "making of" reel. On the evening of the last day, they did a show from the studio, streamed live, which was a thrill for the audience and a boon to the production budget. Says Chris: "Blue Rock gave us the opportunity to astound ourselves"

Erin Ivey
Award-winning songwriter and Texas Music Magazine Artist of the Year, Erin Ivey's new album, SOLACE IN THE WILD, is done. It's not to miss. Erin's team spent a weekend recording basics with engineer Patrick Conway. She was flanked by photographers and a solid promotion plan all along the way. Erin live-streamed her charming laser-focussed energy to her Facebook community every day, giving updates and inside scoop, and left the studio with solid tracks, great photos, and excited fans. After edits/overdubs in home studios, Erin and her producer Chuck Pinnell returned to Blue Rock to mix. Now, Erin has released the first single, a beauty called "Dust Bowl," and has stories and media assets for online promo. She has completed a successful GoFundMe campaign, treats her fans like treasure, and is about to launch a great release.
