What is Blue Rock FRESH? Glad you asked. It's a LIVE performance IN THE ROUND on the heels of an immersive artist residency at the acclaimed Blue Rock Artist Ranch and Studio in Wimberley, Texas. We invite our community to slip inside this highly-charged creative incubator to experience a fresh mash-up of ideas and artistry.
- The Residency: Selected by application, celebrated musicians and songwriters spend seven days in the Texas Hill Country, stepping away from touring to craft new songs in an intensive, collaborative environment.
- The Concert: The residency culminates in a unique and intimate concert in which artists draw from a well of songs, new and familiar, surrounded by a live Blue Rock audience.

As Over the Rhine, Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist have released a fistful of lush, literate, and critically acclaimed albums and were voted by critics and peers to Paste Magazine’s list of 100 Best Living Songwriters. The two live in rural Southern Ohio, where they have restored an 1870s barn into a performance space for intimate workshops and concerts. With their brand of American folk and blues roots, and over 18 studio albums, they have earned an intense critical acclaim and a fiercely loyal, grassroots following.
