COVID-19 UPDATE: We are thankful to be healthy in 2021 and hope this for you also. Attending to our mission, the world needs artists and songs. Producers, musicians, and tech crews need to create. Here's how we can keep the music going while staying safe: Blue Rock is all about large spaces and covid-compliant audio and video sessions, LIVE streaming, and an array of commissioned mixing and editing options. Contact us and let's get your project going.
Studio re-imagined: It’s a new day. Artists are entrepreneurs. They are finding power, creating sound, image and strategies for fan engagement. The classic recording studio has new shoes to fill to match accelerated production goals, media opportunities, and changing distribution models. Yet, still the fundamentals apply: dedication, quality, great tools, inspiring spaces, and clear communication. You have something to say. We’re listening. We can help.
Rupert Neve 1926—2021
A moment like this one (pictured) was on the life list for any engineer/music producer with a sense of history or quality. The great man died today with 94 years of brilliance and kindness given so freely. Many will write about the passing of a legend and musical icon. But, we will remember his laugh, his stories on the back porch, looking at the stars, his strong faith, his open heart and love for Evelyn. We were able to celebrate so much—from birthdays and holidays to his latest ideas. There was no one like him. His light lives in all of us who treasured his friendship, his dedication and love of music. Rest In Peace. With love and appreciation,
Billy, Dodee, and team Blue Rock
BLUE ROCK aLIVE! HIGHLIGHTS
First Weeks of 2021
First Weeks of 2021
These first few weeks of 2021 have been an exciting start for the team at Blue Rock! So far, we’ve enjoyed hosting sessions for artists Tricia Fox, Moors and McCumber, and Susan Gibson. Tricia stopped by to record tracks for her upcoming album, “The Gathering.” For 9 days, Moors and McCumber set up shop and worked with producer Patrick Conway crafting their next release. Susan Gibson, with producer Billy Crockett, has created a new single and video dedicated to the nurses who have been on the front lines throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We are excited to see artists making music again (working covid-safe to take care of each other) and can't wait for the upcoming projects this year has in store.
