SCENARIO — We invited a torrent of artists/bands during SXSW 2026 to help launch an innovation called MicroSessions: producing pro LIVE video singles, top to bottom, in three hours. DYLAN LEBLANC 

is a haunting artist-songwriter out of Muscle Shoals who spins raw emotion and hard-won experience into music as captivating as it is introspective. Here, he reprises the title song on the 10-year anniversary of his renowned release Cautionary Tale.

BUDDY RED

Electrifying bluesman Buddy Red was named one of Rolling Stone's “20 best things we saw in Austin” this year. The Atlanta-based artist is inspired by legends James Brown, Freddie Mercury, and Jimi Hendrix and brings incredible conviction to his performances.

Known as the Queen of Retro Pop, Tabitha finds echoes of Norah Jones and Nancy Sinatra in her virtusoic piano-vocals. This tender new composition, “Once Upon a Time,” is a heartbreaking tribute to lost love and what might have been.

The internationally-celebrated southern songwriter infuses his music with a personal dose of swampy swagger. In his 2021 album, "For Louisiana," Rod explores the complexities of his home state through both love and hard-hitting social commentary.

KRIS KIMURA 

The massterful Austin-based woodwind specialist is also vocalist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and owner of the Parker Jazz Club. Touring with many renowned artists and his own quintet, Kris is also an anchor in the Texas jazz scene.

SUZANNA CHOFFEL

This Austin treasure's sound has been described as "equal parts Beat poetry, smoky soul grooves and indie-pop eccentricity.” Over a two-decade career, Suzanna has shared the stage with diverse artists, won songwriting awards, and released four acclaimed studio albums.

SHELLEY KING

Beloved Austin Americana/blues artist Shelley King earned recognition as the Official Texas State Musician in 2008 and has built a passionate following, show after show, for her brand of soul-power and joy.

Robin is a songwriting multi-instrumentalist based in Austin who work is meticulously crafted across a variety of genres. The musical ideas “swim through my head," he says, as completely produced pieces.

JOEY MCGEE 

is an American singer-songwriter known for his warm, pure vocal delivery that conveys his emotional depth. His sixth and latest album, "The Acoustic Highway: Love, Loss, and Other Stories," explores human connection, heartbreak, and hope through stripped-down acoustic arrangements.
